Here you are witness to the fact that the Arabs, Persians, Chinese, Jews, Portuguese, Dutch and the English have left their foot prints in this beautiful shore. And these foot prints have been preserved on the sands of Fort Cochin.

On one of these heritage homes, the Chiramel Home Stay, has been converted to a tourist inn for the convenience of the discerning traveler. To relish a past that is still vibrant in this area. To partake of a homely atmosphere set in traditional surroundings.

Conceived as a place of rest, the old Dutch house, constructed of limestone, tiles, teak, has been refurbished for the modern traveler.

The balcony offers a stunning view of the parade ground. The historic St. Francis Church, the burial ground of Vasco Da Gama. You find yourself within shouting distance of the Chinese fishing nets and the entrance to the harbour. You are also within walking distance to the Dutch palace and the synagogue.
